A Base Camp for Adventure

As we get ready to launch our Confluence Adventures we are balancing a mix of preparation for our upcoming travels and taking time to enjoy winter in Lake Tahoe.

Winter is in full swing bringing snow followed by sunny days. We haven't been up to Kirkwood, Sierra, or Heavenly Ski areas but we've heard the skiing and boarding is amazing. However, from the front door we can ski and snowshoe out along the Upper Truckee river and out into Washoe Meadows State Park. Just fifteen minutes up the road is Grass Lake meadow and a little further is Hope Valley, both great areas for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

Taz waiting for our next adventure...

Last night we even attended the Lake Tahoe Adventure Film Festival at the Montbleu Casino at Stateline.

Lake Tahoe has it all and it is going to be hard to leave. We just got here and are still discovering everything that Tahoe has to offer outdoor adventurers, like ourselves.

We'll be back after our travels but in the mean time we wanted to share a few resources, from an inside local's experience, to make your adventure here in South Lake Tahoe a great one.

For vacation home rentals, personalized professional service check out Carina's Vacation Home Rentals. Carina was born and raised in Lake Tahoe and has the local knowledge to make your trip a great one.

Got a dog? We've have a great dog sitter for you. Sean, who we booked through Rover.com is who we use when we need a local dog sitter. He has tons of great reviews and we can vouch for him from personal experience. Our dogs are always happy and tired when we get home so we know they had a good time!
